It only cost us 16.00 for the family to ride and we saw 8 dolpins on the ride across the first time! The driver was very pleasant and infomative, a must do if you go to charleston, especially with children! we just rode round trip, but you can get off and peruse the other side of the harbor and catch the taxi back at your leisure with the same fare!

My group took the taxi on it’s first run to Patriots Point one beautiful Sunday morning. Most of the group stayed to tour the Yorktown etc. but several of us just returned to the dock after enjoying the views of the city during the roundtrip. The crew on the boat were very engaging and helpful, giving us recommendations and directions and even held the boat for one member of the group who had made a pit stop and was lagging behind. The highlight of my trip was when the crew pointed out dolphin jumping with the crest in front of a tug going up river. Enchanting sight.

We took the taxi from Patriot’s Point to Charleston for lunch and back. We had one of the Charleston 2 for 1 deal cards (that we got with our Classic Carriage fare), so it was $8 round trip for two. Definitely worth it. The crew even gave us lunch recommendations.

What a great idea. Didn’t think I would think this would be worth it (I just wanted to drive over the bridge) but it was a terrific way to see Charleston from the water. We saw at least five dolphins and one practically touched my wife taking a photo. We met some great people on the boat that we ended up spending the afternoon with—what an unexpected pleasure.

My boyfriend and I rode on the water taxi during our stay in Charleston. we didn’t have anywhere to go so we simply took the round trip for only $8, which was approximately an hour long. It was very cool to see the city of Charleston from the boat. The guys on the boat were very nice and my boyfriend enjoyed talking to them about fishing and what not. Overall, an awesome attraction in my opinion.
