Charleston Water Taxi is excited to be your complete Cooper River Bridge Run transportation for 2007! We are, however, not affiliated with Spirit Line Cruises, the other boat shuttle, whom you may have paid for when you registered. Our boat runs every 15 minutes from the Charleston Maritime Center (Downtown) starting at 6:00 am. The fare is $5.00 and we operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, but the line moves quickly. You can take the water taxi to Mt. Pleasant for the start of the race from Downtown and we can get you back to Mt. Pleasant after the race. Listed below are Some Frequently Asked Questions.

    We leave from the Maritime Center - one block south of the South Carolina Aquarium. The address is 10 Wharfside Street. Click here for a map and directions.
  2. Where does the water taxi from Downtown drop me off?
    We take you to the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina at Patriots Point next to the USS Yorktown.
  3. How do I get to the starting line from Charleston Harbor Marina?
    There will be shuttle buses departing from Patriots Point at the USS Yorktown a short distance from where we drop you off.
  4. How many people can ride the water taxi at one time?
    We can take 49 passengers per trip.
  5. How much does the water taxi cost?
    A mere five dollars! To insure quick operation, exact change is appreciated but not necessary.
  6. What time does the water taxi leave Downtown Charleston?
    We will leave Downtown every fifteen minutes starting at 6:00 am.
  7. Do I need a reservation?
    No. We operate on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  8. Do I need to rush to the water taxi after the race?
    No. We run all day. Take as much time as you like.

    Yes, the boat is covered, we will run if it is raining.
